RAWALPINDI: Police together with officers of Enforcement Division of Rawalpindi Growth Authority (RDA) on Friday launched anti enforcement operation towards land mafia in Mandowal space of Chontra and demolished the bunkers of criminals related to an unlawful housing society.

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Police on the instructions of Metropolis Police Officer (CPO) Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari, performed a search operation in Chauntra space, arrested some 13 suspects and recovered a big amount of arms and ammunition.

The search operation was performed on homes within the neighborhood of personal housing societies, the Police spokesperson stated.

The search operation was headed by SDPO Saddar Waqar Azim, SHO Chauntra, SHO Chakri and particular elite groups participated within the exercise.

The search operation was performed within the areas of Ladian, Khengar and Sangral.

The arrested accused included Faizan, Azhar, Sherbaz, Wajid, Abid, Salman, Shoaib, Sajid, Saleem, Hasan, Adnan, Sajid and Mikail.

The weapons recovered from the possession of the accused had been a lightweight machine gun (LMG), Kalashnikov 5, 8mm three, rifle 12 bore three, and 30 bore pistol, magazines and cartridges.

CPO Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari appreciated SDPO Saddar, SHOs Chauntra and Chakri and the workforce.

“The aim of the search operation is to take motion towards felony parts and unlawful arms,” the CPO stated.

The Police would proceed crackdown on encroachment mafia and arms throughout Rawalpindi together with Chauntra, he added.

The CPO added that the Police would cope with the occupation mafia and those that play with human lives with iron palms.

“The motion is a transparent message for the mafia, supremacy of regulation can be ensured,” CPO Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari stated.
